synOcta® Impression Post for RN/WN Implants Use the synOcta® Impression Post for open-tray impressions on Straumann® Standard Plus Regular Neck or Wide Neck Implants. Open-tray impressions may be advantageous in cases where the implant shoulder is positioned very deeply (more than 3.0 mm subgingival) or where the soft tissue condition does not allow the accurate seating of the closed-tray impression components (e.g. thick fibrous tissue displacing closed-tray components). The benefits of open-tray impressions are: ѹ A tight and precise connection between implant and Impression Post. ѹ Avoidance of any displacement of the Impression Post by the gingiva during the impression-taking procedure. synOcta® Impression Posts are color-coded: ѹ Red for impressions on RN Ø 4.8 mm prosthetic platforms ѹ White for impressions on WN Ø 6.5 mm prosthetic platforms The RN synOcta® Impression Post is available in two different heights: 10 mm and 21 mm. The WN synOcta® Impression Post is available with a height of 10 mm.
